Hello there! My name is Jamey and I have a profound love of plants and gardening. I grew up in Riverside, California then moved to Los Angeles for school. Living in the “land of eternal summer” I found many opportunities to try and grow beautiful plants. To my dismay, I wasn’t very good at it. I eventually became a professional plant killer. But like the old saying goes, “If at first you don’t succeed , try, try again.” So I did! It wasn’t until I moved to beautiful Denver, Colorado where I really found myself falling in love with succulents. Their “easy to care” and “thrive on neglect” qualities made them the perfect plant for me.
I split my time between work, thrift store shopping, and hiking, kayaking or camping in the Rocky Mountains. I try my best to do my part to help out the environment. Reusing things that other people don’t have a use for anymore is a great way to keep things out of the landfill. That’s why I love going to thrift stores. Looking for someone else’s trash that can become my treasure has become a passion of mine.
One day I had the brilliant idea to blend two of my passions together. I decided to re-purpose old items I found at the thrift store to create new unique succulent planters. I very quickly found myself surrounded with more succulents than I knew what to do with, and not enough shelf space for them all. So, I decided to open Boni Suci Love in order to share my passions with others.
I do all the thrift store hunts myself and carefully select pieces based on the type of succulent that will be happy in a their new home. I buy all my succulent from local nurseries to help local businesses in my area. As a Colorado-based company I am proud to do my part to help the environment while also sharing my passion of succulents with others.
